Ongoing insta tag drama between Mercy Aigbe and a fashioner designer

 

 

Popular actress and happily married mum of two, Mercy Aigbe, shared a photo of herself wearing a really nice outfit, and it got lots f praises from her fans on Instagram.

However, she failed to tag the fashion designer of the outfit and trouble started.

Designer, Phoonmy Afrika took to her Instagram to call out actress, Mercy Aigbe for showing off a dress she made for her and tagging another designer...

"As someone who had worked behind the camera in the Nigerian Entertainment Industry popularly called Nollywood and now a Fashion Designer,  I picked an interest in two Nollywood Stars @mercyaigbegentry and @jumokeodetola for two different reasons but as the Yoruba adage says: Isunmoni la nmo ise eni. On a closer look you get to know that these people are not what they portrayed.

Jumoke Odetola in her case lived up to standard as we approached her to flaunt one of our designs on social media, she responsibly did as agreed an even advertised our company to a few friends while Mercy Aigbe on the other hand collected the sewn garment, wore it to occasions, flaunted it on IG and refused to tag our Company which was the gentleman agreement we had. The problem here is not the fact that Mercy did tag us but her mannerisms when we approached her.

Mercy slyly responded well to our chat saying she would do a 'rerock' and tag us but immediately blocked our comments on our post then blocked us on instagram. We put a call through to Jumoke who acted as our link to Mercy tried to pacify the situation but another conversation with Jumoke's manager spurred our anger.

According to Mr Abiodun Jimoh @abeyjomo, on telling Mercy Aigbe that she shouldn't have worn the clothes since she knew she wouldn't give the Company that gave her the garment the credit, Mercy had replied that she has worn it and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

When we sent a message through Mr Jimoh that we would like to have our garment back. Mercy said it they can come and pick it, she later said No! She would not give it back. The big questions are? Did Mercy believe we gave her our clothe as Charity? Is she from a motherless baby's home? Does she feel so untouchable because she is a cheap star that she is? Does she by anyway know with whom she is dealing with? Things are about to get messy with Mercy and she should be ready for us because if we have to rip our clothes off her skin, we will... just to have it back."

She  denied knowing the designer.

"Goodmorning Fam!..... my attention as been drawn to a particular story trending, regarding this shirt, pls I will like to start categorically that I don't know the said designer, I never agreed to tag her and she didn't give me the shirt. The shirt was given to me by Jumoke Odetola as a birthday gift and when she dropped the shirt at my office, she never mentioned the designer and didn't tell me to tag anyone. ......thank you all and have a blessed day!"

After Mercy Aigbe's denial, the designer has shared a screenshot of their DM where she thanked her for the shirt.

 She wrote; "Dear @mercyaigbegentry you deleted all your messages from DM but... oops! You forgot to delete "hello" and "thanks for the shirt". Ok so how come you dont know the "so called design". Lol... YOU ARE A JOKE! "

I suffered from thyroid disorder — Lepacious Bose shares story on weight loss

 Popular Nigerian comedian and actress, Lepacious Bose has been on top of her radar since she started her weight loss program two years ago. The comedian who is an inspiration to all women struggling with weight loss across the glob has started a 21-day boot camp theme which is aimed at body transfiguration for women.

 Speaking through her instagram page, Lepacious Bose said “weight-loss is never easy. I remember sitting and listening to the doctor tell me I had thyroid disorder, the tears flowed freely. You see if your thyroids are messed up, you will find it difficult to lose weight, you might gain weight from just breathing. I felt alone, I was scared and felt hopeless”

She then continued “Then I started doing research and the more I read,  the more I realized that there is a whole community of people dealing with hypothyroidism and beat it daily, I realized it was not a deadly disease and I can beat this, just a change of habit and a change of life style. Believe me. I don’t look like what I have been through.  The battles I have fought and keep fighting daily. The difference is I don’t give up, I dust myself and try again. Yes #hypothyroidism is real,  but more real is my God and also real is my #willpower

Announcing the boot camp scheme, she said “today is the first day of the #21daychallenge camp members have paid and drilling started at 6:00a.m this morning. If you have not entered the camp by now, you might find it difficult to keep up because for the next 21 days,  we are kicking out the fat” It’s time to transfigure.

Meet the UNILAG Ladies that graduated with 5.0 CGPA (photos)

Here are the two female student who graduated with grade points of 5.0, from the University Of Lagos, Miss Taiwo Bankole, 22 and Miss Oyindamola Omotuyi 21.

Omotuyi who hails from Ondo state studied System Engineering while Bankole from Lagos state studied Cell Biology and Genetics.

It was learnt that both were members of Redeemed Campus Fellowship in the university.

In an interview with newsmen, the ladies spoke about their journey to success.

According to Omotuyi, she got the inspiration to read from her father who she said reads all night.

She went ahead to disclose that she initially was not a brilliant student. But got the determination to work hard after so many failures.

On the social front, Omotuyi mentioned she never had a boyfriend as she understood that there is time for everything and spend most of her time with female friends and fellowship members and sometimes watch movies.

She said that she is currently waiting for her NYSC but if God permits, she will go for her master. 

She encouraged students desiring her kind of achievement, saying anyone can achieve it.

On her part, Taiwo Bankole admitted that she didn't find it rosy as she failed UTME the first time and had to go for a diploma programme before she later gained her admission into UNILAG.

According to her, she never knew that she could graduate with a first class but midway, she noticed that her GPA was sound enough and that was when she started aspiring to finish with a first class.

And she backed up her good grades by reading for 6 hours everyday.

Just like Omutoyi, Bankole also said she never had a boyfriend but mingled with female pals and casual male friends and also watch movies at times.

According to her, she would like to have a Masters degree in Genetics.

She further advised students to work hard and never lose focus.

An official of the Western Naval Command, Apapa, Lagos, Omojoye Ayodele, has killed his wife, Mary Egbailo.

According to Punch,  Ayodele on Tuesday allegedly beat up the victim till she gave up the ghost at their house on Eze Anthony Street, in the Igando, Alimosho area of the state.

Punch gathered that the 30-year-old suspect had gone to bring back the wife from the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in the area, where she was said to have been since Sunday.


Shortly after they entered their room-and-parlour apartment, an argument reportedly ensued between them, which led to a fight.

The Ebute Irele, Ondo State indigene, allegedly beat his 29-year-old wife till she became weak and died.

She was said to have been rushed to El Dunamis Hospital, a private medical centre in the area, where she was confirmed dead.

An official of the hospital told Punch on Wednesday that Egbailo was confirmed dead while in a tricycle that brought her in company with her husband and two women.

The official, who did not want to be identified, said the husband claimed she took a local insecticide, Sniper.

He said, “She was brought around 11.30am in a tricycle. A man, who wore military uniform and claimed to be her husband, was screaming that she took Sniper insecticide.

“Doctors went to check her in the tricycle and it was discovered that she was dead. We immediately asked that she should be transferred to a general hospital. The husband was shouting to the hearing of everybody that she took Sniper.”

Punch gathered that the victim would have been taken to her hometown for burial, but for the insistence of the landlady, who maintained that Egbailo did not take Sniper, but was a victim of domestic violence.

The case was said to have been reported at the Igando Police Division, leading to the arrest of Ayodele for allegedly beating the victim to death.

The landlady, who spoke with Punch on the condition of anonymity, alleged that Ayodele had been assaulting his wife since 2016.

She explained that on the morning of her death, Egbailo did not show any sign of depression.

She said, “The man complained that for the past three days, his wife had been away from the house and gone to a church.

“Around 10am on Tuesday, both of them entered into the house. I guess he had just gone to pick her from church.

“It was not up to three minutes that I started hearing noise. I went to their apartment and asked the man what the problem was, but he pushed me away and kept hitting her. He dragged her on the floor, among other things.”

She said she ran out to call for help when the beating was excessive.

The landlady claimed that as other residents approached the house to mediate, the suspect threw his wife into the gutter.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, said the corpse had been deposited in a mortuary for autopsy

The Enugu State Police Command have arrested a woman and her boyfriend for allegedly abducting and selling her elder sister's 4-year-old daughter for N350, 000.

It all started on 15th December, 2016 at about 12:45pm at Inyi in Oji River local Government Area of  Enugu state when it was allegedly reported that one Chinecherem Irechukwu, a 4-year-old years old primary school pupil of Unity Primary school at Inyi in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu state was said to have been missing without a trace.
The report of the missing Chinecherem on that fateful day threw the entire family especially the mother into a confused state of mind and sorrowful mood.

Following the development, the incident was reported to the Enugu state command of the Nigeria Police Force where it was referred to the Gender/Anti Human Trafficking section of the state criminal intelligence and investigations Department of the Enugu state command headed by SP Udoka Gloria under the watchful eyes of Janeth Agbede, a Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department Enugu.

In course of the Investigations and following intelligence information gathered, one Chinedu Chukwu, a female who was later discovered to be the immediate younger sister to the mother of the victim Chinecherem was nabbed as she was seriously fingered in the dastardly act based on intelligence information.

 Following the revelation she  made,one Osukwo Chinonso, (M) was also nabbed and further revelations had it that the said Osunkwo  Chinonso is a boy friend to Chinedu Chukwu and that they had on that fateful day allegedly conspired and came in from Anambra state and headed to the school where the little Chinecherem Irechukwu was allegedly tricked and whisked away to Umuahia Abia state precisely Ihe Olokoro,  where the child was allegedly sold to  one Florence Nwokocha at the rate of three hundred and fifty thousand Naira (#350,000).

It was further gathered that the operatives already armed with intelligence information promptly nabbed the said Florence  Nwokocha who also assisted the operatives to recover the abducted/sold Chinecherem Irechukwu on 16/1/17  from a place where she was kept at Faulks road Aba in Abia state awaiting a would-be buyer with a fabulous amount of money to make huge profit.

Meanwhile, a full-scale investigation is in place as manhunt on the said keeper/harbourer suspect in Aba Abia state is intensified.

All the suspects are assisting the police operatives in their investigations just as Little Chinecherem Irechukwu has been reunited with her family.

Reacting, the mother of the victim Mrs Irechuwu thanked God and the Nigeria Police Force, Enugu state command on their prompt action and discreet investigations which led to the arrest of all the suspects and rescue of her daughter.

She regretted the immediate younger sister’s action and maintained that she never in life believed that the sister could do such a thing like that to her.

The Commissioner of Police Enugu state command Douglas Agbonleni while reacting to the development, applauded the efforts of the operatives at unmasking the culprits and rescuing the victim and further directed the operatives to go all out and get every person involved in the dastardly act which he described as man’s inhumanity man.

He also maintained that the command will continue to partner relevant stakeholders and sister Agencies towards ensuring a safe and secure Enugu state.

Watch how this woman stash stolen goods in her pant in South African

A video making rounds on social media since Thursday, shows three women shoplifting from a store in Gauteng, South Africa. In the footage posted on a Facebook page, one of the women is seen taking items from the shelves and stashing them in their pants and underwear while the other one put the stolen goods in her handbag.

Jessica Nkechi McGraa: Man goes on trial for the rape and murder of Nigerian sex worker in Aberdeen

The trial of a man charged with the rape and murder of Nigerian sex worker in Aberdeen began on Monday, January 16. Bala Chinda, 26, is accused of killing 36-year-old Jessica McGraa at a union Terrace flat on Feb. 11, 2016. See all the previous postshere & here.

At the High Court in Aberdeen, Mr Chinda was accused of inflicting blunt force trauma to her head and forced her on to a bed, held her down then raped her. It is claimed Chinda stole two phones and a key from the deceased after the rape and murder. He is said to have committed this offence to destroy evidence in an attempt to defeat the ends of justice.

Advocate Depute Paul Kearney on Wednesday said there was overwhelming evidence against him.

However, defence counsel Ian Duguid said the prosecution had not proved guilt of rape and murder. His trial continued on Thursday, January 18th and is expected to last 10 days

Melania Trump's home country throw big party to celebrate one of theirs becoming the First Lady of the United States

It's not every day that a woman born in a very small town in a not-so-popular country goes on to become First Lady of the United States so it's understandable that the people of Melania Trump's home country, Slovenia, are throwing a very big party today to celebrate one of theirs.

Melania, 46, is the second First Lady to be born outside the United States since 1825 and to celebrate this, the Mayor of her hometown has organised a very big festival.

The celebration will include admission and tours, the main event will be an inauguration viewing party at Rotary klub Sevnica.

There will also be free dinner for everyone at the local inn, through a voluntary $40 would be accepted for buying new equipment for the Sevnica Hospital ER.

The meal will be a mix of Slovenian and American cuisine to celebrate Melania and Trump's combined heritage.

I Was Forced to Sleep With All 52 Male Members Before The Initiation – 16-Year-Old Female Cultist

A 16-year-old secondary school dropout, Ifechukwu Atunanya, has been arrested by policemen from the Anambra State Police Command while allegedly having s.ex with over 52 young men inside a bush in what looked like an initiation ceremony.

According to reports, the suspects were all rounded up in the bush in Awka and are reportedly members of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity, during the initiation of new members.

Ifechukwu, on her arrest, claimed she was forced to sleep with every male member of the cult during her initiation.

According to the state Commissioner of Police, Hosea Karma, the police acted on an intelligence tip-off that the cult members and their new entrants were in a bush performing some rituals, explaining that some items including guns, machetes and several wraps of Indian hemp, were recovered from them.

On apprehension, the Police said the suspects confirmed that as part of their ritual, every male member of the cult will sleep with every prospective female member.

“This they did in order to secure their oath of secrecy and it was during the raid we arrested ifechukwu,” Hosea stated.

At the police station, Ifechukwu claimed that she had to travel to Anambra from Abuja just to witness the initiation of new members.

In her statement, she said:

“I joined them three months ago and during my initiation; I was forced to have se.x with every registered male member of the cult present that night. I was given sedatives so as not to feel what they were doing. It was not easy, but I bore the pain,”she said.

“The day we were initiated, I was the only girl in their midst. I was determined to be a successful member. I was further convinced to stay because I discovered that they were more honorable men than the other cult groups.

“I am sorry for myself and would love to be given the opportunity to go back to school,” she sobbed.

 She went further to say she never knew that it was crime to be a cult member.

“I am so sorry,” Ifechukwu begged.

Another member, Ugochukwu Agbazuo, also said they are all undergraduates of various institutions in Anambra.

“Apart from some of our national leaders, we are all students. I was initiated into the cult while I was still in my first year. I had no choice but to join them because of the harassment in school. I discovered that most of the Engineering students in my school were members of different cult groups.”

Speaking further, Ugochukwu added: “If you identify with a known cult in school, the lecturers will respect you. You don’t have to buy handouts. This was why I joined them.”

“We did not steal or harass innocent people. The guns that were found with us were bought in case there was a clash in school. It is our leaders who are all graduates and working across the country that normally assists us to secure the arms. It is strictly for protection and one of the rules of our group is that you must read and pass your exams on merit,” he added.

On the issue of rape, Ugochukwu admitted that it only happened with female members.

“A female intending member cannot undergo the rigorous process during the initiation. So, our leaders suggested that the best way to get them under oath is for every registered member to have s.ex with her during initiation.

“She would be given sedatives during the process so that she will not physically feel the pain. Ifechukwu’s case was better because we were only 52 registered males present on the day of her initiation. All of our female members were raped,” he noted.

As the story goes, Ifechukuw’s parents, who hail from Anambra State, are still alive. However, she said that they were not aware of her secret cult activities.

“I am from a poor family and I wanted to be the light that will change the situation in my family. I got to know about the cult activity through a friend. She assured me that all the connections that I needed in life will be made if I joined the group,”Ifechukwu stated.

So scared of injections been on self medication .. I eat Garlic and sometime put it in there…and i use made in Nigeria drugs with scratch cards to treat typhoid and malaria 3x a year.
