Ekwelike Stanley, who claimed to be the lover of one of the housemates in Big Brother Naija, Gifty, took to the social media to express his feelings over the stay of his girlfriend in the house.

In a series of tweets, Stanley who shared photos and a video of him and Gifty in bed said,” I want the world to know that someone somewhere is getting hurt and big brother is making money off my pain.”

Stanley was accused by his followers of seeking fame from his girlfriend stay in the house and was not hurt as he claimed.

But he vehemently denied the allegation and concluded his tweets with,  “I still love her, so we will keep voting for her.”

Buhari and others to get N94m bullet-proof tyres.

The Federal Government plans to spend N94.5 million on bullet-proof tyres for President Muhammadu Buhari and others this year, State House Permanent Secretary Jalal A. Arabi has said.

Canteen and kitchen equipment will cost N100.8 million.

The Nation reports that , these are part of the breakdown of the State House  budget presented by Arabi to the Senate Committee on Federal Character and Inter-Governmental Affairs.

The number of treated (bulletproof) tyres that will be bought with N94.5 million was, however, not specified.

Arabi told the committee that N94.5 million (50% of the actual sought for in 2016) is proposed for this year.

On why the tyres should be bought at “exorbitant price”, Arabi explained that “some of the tyres being purchased are actually treated (bulletproof)” and hence constituted the bulk of the purchase cost.

On electricity charges, he said N45.3 million was approved in the last year’s budget.

The State House’s electricity bill for 2016, according to Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), was N252 million. Another outstanding liability of over N300 million for State House, Lagos facilities.

One Alex Umukoro, on Thursday, pleaded with an Agege Customary Court in Lagos State to dissolve his marriage on the grounds that his wife, Mary, was bad luck.

He accused his wife of adultery, saying anytime he has sexual intercourse with her, things go wrong in his life.

Umukoro, an indigene of Delta State, told the court that he was no longer interested in his 25-year-old marriage that is blessed with four children.

Speaking before the President of the court, Mr. Phillips Williams Umukoro, resident of Adewunmi Street in Orile Agege, described his wife as a flirt and trouble maker.

The father of four urged the court to dissolve the marriage without further delay saying, “My wife flirts with different men in our neighbourhood. I warned her to desist from such acts until l caught her sleeping with one of our neighbours in his room.

“Mary went to the village in 2011 to confess her adulterous acts, afterwards, a traditional cleansing was performed on her and l accepted to forgive her after much pleading.

“But my wife never stopped her immoral ways. She kept conversing with the same man and flirting about.

“On one occasion, l caught my wife signaling to my neighbour’s husband to meet her up. Due to my wife’s immoral ways, business has not been going smoothly for me.

“I became scared to have sexual intercourse with her because whenever l do, thing becomes hard for me financially, I become so broke and frustrated.

“She is stubborn and lacks in her responsibilities to the family.

“My wife always spends her money on frivolous things and her concubines.

“She does not take proper care of the children and I am seeking immediate dissolution of our association,” he added, pleading with court to grant him custody of their four children.

The respondent, a petty trader, who pleaded guilty to the allegations, begged court to save her marriage amid tears.

In his ruling, the court President scolded the woman and advised her to change her adulterous ways.

Williams adjourned the case till February 28 for possible reconciliation, urging the couple to keep the peace, pending the outcome of the court’s proceedings.

Olakunle Churchill- I Never Assaulted My Wife, And I Don't Have a Female P.A

 

 Tonto Dikeh and businessman Olakunle Churchill's marriage crises has been the latest gist lately, latest information from the actress also indicates that she has moved out of Churchill’s home.

There have been allegations that Churchill  once physically abused her and that he had an affair with a lady said to be his personal assistant. The attack was said to have occurred when an issue came up in churhill's mother residence

Mr Churchill has said that he has never subjected his wife to any form of domestic violence.

During an interview, he said the allegations are false and a product of an attempt to blackmail him.

He says, “I wonder where they got such a ‘gist’ from. I don’t believe my wife will say that. Besides, I frown on such. This is apart from the fact that my foundation preaches against domestic violence at some of our charity awareness campaigns.

“It is obvious that these attacks are aimed at dragging my image and what I believe in in the mud. Well, the truth is that I have never raised my hands against my wife. I have evidence of CCTV cameras in my mum’s house when this happened. It can be replayed if you want us to go that far.”

Concerning the alleged unholy affair, he insists that it is a baseless rumour. “It’s funny to me because I don’t have any female personal assistant. My PA is Mr. Paul, who has been working with me over the years. Besides, it was a sponsored blackmail,” Churchill notes.

  Former Delta state governor, James Ibori, recently claimed he is not a thief at a thanksgiving service in his honour at the Oghara Baptist Church. Speaking at the service which was well attended by his family, friends, clergymen and others, Ibori said

Singer, Eric Arubayi"s death is as a result of taking expired malaria drug+ see photos of his wife and kid

Gospel singer and the 3rd runner up at the maiden edition of the West African Idol, Eric Arubayi, is dead.

The young artiste, believed to be in his early 30s, reportedly died on Saturday at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital.
Eric is said to have fallen sick earlier in the week and taken some expired malaria drugs that led to the failure of some vital body organs.
Efforts to get an official statement from his family proved abortive.
He is survived by his wife of three years, Chinonso, and a child.

Husband removes wife's teeth and stabs her with a fork for refusing to abort their baby

According to Nigerian human rights lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, a lady was brutally beaten by her husband for refusing his demand on aborting their baby.

24-year-old Indonesian woman having the look of a toddler but menstruates (photos)

Sari Rezita Ariyanti looks like a three-year-old girl, but she is actually 24-years-old.

Born in 1993, the second of five children, Sari who weighs 20kg and is 87cm tall, speaks, acts and is as helpless as a child. She also cannot walk and has to be pushed around in a wheel chair.

Sari struggles to speak and only makes sounds which her mother alone can understand. She is totally dependent and lives with her mother, Suryani H Suud and sister Lela in Didie Jaya District, Indonesia.

In spite of her appearance, Sari menstruates every month like every grown woman and as with all else, she has to be assisted by her mother who helps her maintain hygiene during this period.

"I feel very sad. I see my first and third children and they are healthy but Sari is different," Suryani lamented. 

''I was deeply shocked but thanks to God, Sari has siblings who love and take care of her. People would stare at us and others would ask 'why can't she walk and why is she so short?' 

"When Sari was a baby, I used to take her to the market, and someone asked why does my first child and Sari look so different. I was sad, so I couldn't answer it." She continued.

Sari was born a beautiful baby and no one suspected she had a health problem until she was two-years-old and still could not talk or walk. Sari was finally diagnosed at 13 by the medical team at Ibnu Sina Hospital in Sigli City with a hormonal growth disorder and think the most likely diagnosis is Turner Syndrome, a genetic disorder that affects one in 2,000 to 2,500 babies - and only occurs in girls.

If treated early the condition can be managed but not cured, but Sari's family did not have money to seek help early for her.

Doctor Suriadi Umar, Sp. A at Ibnu Sina Hospital, revealed that Sari's delayed diagnosis could have also contributed to further developmental delays.

"Because of Sari's hormonal abnormalities, it is possible it affected the motor gland and can make her slower," Dr. Umar said. 

"Because we didn't see Sari until she was a teenager, the muscles didn't respond quickly. If we had seen her at the age of six months we could have immediately consulted the parents on Sari's condition. 

"God willing, now we know the core disease, we will see sari slowly move through treatment and physiotherapy."

Sari now undergoes physiotherapy once a week and her mother nurses the hopes that her daughter will be able to work and lead a full life.

Enviromental pollution in Rivers state, residents complain of black soot (we are at risk of developing health issues)

     Rivers state residents recently raised alarm over the presence of Black soot in the environment.some residents say they have been experiencing this since last year. comments like

has been made over the issue, according to a medical practitioner,inhaling the soot can cause illness such as Asthma, Pneumonia, Bronchitis and other dangerous respiratory tract infection. The general manager Port Harcourt refinery company blame the soot on illegal oil activities by bunkers and vandals.

When questioned about the soot in an interview by Channels TV, Rivers state commissioner of Information said: “Port Harcourt is industrializing very fast, so there is a tendency for this kind of pollution. It’s got to do with laws as well, the extractive economy is supported by federal laws, we have a state control over such an environmental issue but ultimately, how you enforce environmental impact work is up to federal law.

“The petroleum act of 1969 is still the organizing law that regulates the industry. It is (the law) 45 years old, you would have expected that the petroleum industry bill that has been in debate would have been passed into law. You know, a more contemporary understanding of how to tackle environmental issues.


“At the state level, we have a very committed response to environmental issues, we have been rethinking our own law to see how we can better enforce environmental regulations.”Rivers residents however appeal to the state government for urgent intervention.
