Governor Akeredolu, who could not conceal his joy at Air Peace’s entry into the Akure-Lagos-Akure route, said his administration decided to partner with the airline to drive the economic development of the oil-producing state through air transportation.Emphasising the benefits of partnering with the airline in the areas of tourism and investment, the governor said: “No doubt, we have an air link to Ondo from Lagos, it means a lot to Ondo State people. Our drive is for investment and a lot of our investors want to come in.”he added: “We are starting with Lagos-Akure

and Akure back to Lagos. We already have an airline running Akure-Abuja but it would not stop Air Peace if they find out that they can also do combined flight. It will be in our interest, but what we have now is Lagos-Akure, Akure-Lagos with Air Peace.”

He advised officials of the state government to
Take advantage of the new flight service to avoid kidnappers and other criminal elements, warning that his administration would not pay ransom to secure anybody’s release.

Air Peace, the governor revealed, was preferred among other airlines the state negotiated with.

"We discussed with many airlines, but those

to me that Air Peace gave us the best in terms o
their offer. The offer appears better than other
airlines. And again, it is a growing airline. They have even promised us to deploy one of their expected new aircraft to this route,” Akeredolu said.

He praised the Chairman of Air Peace, Mr. Allen Onyema for supporting his administration’s effort to open up Ondo State to investors and investment

For his part, Onyema assured that Air Peace was in Ondo State to collaborate with the Akeredolu administration to boost the economy of the state and power the development of the country through air transport.

“It is part of Air Peace’s drive to contribute to the 

unity and development of this country. So, you can see now, N10,000 for a one-way trip; it has never happened before. We decided to do this in order to assist Ondo State.

Human and mineral resources abound in Ondo State. We want to help investors go into Akure and Ondo State.

Aviation is a catalyst for economic development. It is part of our policy to give every part of this country a chance to develop. We are going into Akure to help them actualise their own economic development plan. Investors are already asking questions about the state. They are looking forward to going there.”

Investment, Mr. Boye Oyewumi said the administration was serious about making the state an investor destination in the country.

Gardeners lost engagement ring Found 13 years later wrapped around a carrot

A grandma lost her diamond engagement ring while gardening in 2004 only to find it wrapped around a carrot 13 years later.

84-year-old Mary Grams from Alberta Canada was devastated when she lost the ring she's owned for 5 decades and searched everywhere for it to no avail. She eventually replaced the ring without telling her husband so he wouldn't be upset. Then this week, her daughter-in-law found the ring, wrapped around a carrot growing in the same garden.

Gram's daughter-in-law, Colleen Daley, who found the ring didn't know who it belonged to so she asked her husband.

Daley said: "I asked my husband if he recognized the ring. And he said yeah. His mother had lost her engagement ring years ago in the garden and never found it again. And it turned up on this carrot."

When Daley returned the ring to Grams, she knew instantly it was her long-lost engagement ring. Surprisingly, it still fits. Sadly, Grams’ husband died shortly after their 60th wedding 

anniversary five years ago, and wasn’t able to
witness the discovery. But Grams is still excited about the find.

She told CBC, "I'm going to wear it because it still fits."

A Twitter user, @iamTROL is claiming that men of the Oyo State Joint Security Task Force, code-named “operation burst” allegedly ordered that a

lady be sexually assaulted as punishment for 

dressing indecently on Tuesday.

The group, made up of policemen, soldiers Air Force personnel, SSS, and NSCDC, was re-launched on August 4th, by Governor Abiola Ajumobi to curb crimes in the state.

However, they are notorious for beating innocent civilians who they think are improperly dressed.

A 2011 report by The Nation said that girls and women who wear trousers or short dresses were harassed by the personnel. Men who wear earrings, dreadlocks and Afro hairstyles are beaten up.


Now iamTROL is claiming these guys ordered that a Lady’s breast be sucked after she was spotted dressing indecently.

The Ooni of Ife’s wife, Olori Wuraola Ogunwusi has denied the rumuors making the rounds of 

collapsed marriage between her and Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.This was made known in a statement issued by the Olori’s press secretary, Abraham Adedeji, on Tuesday.

The statement reads;

It has come to the attention of our office – the slanderous rumors and sensationalist distortions about Her Majesty, Olori Wuraola Ogunwusi through unnamed and unseen sources.

The sources are also citing deplorable claims involving Her Majesty Wuraola and that of prominent businessmen in Nigeria, all of whom 

are good friends of the King and Queen & financial contributors to projects that have advanced our good work in the communities of Ife and Nigeria as a whole.

We are deeply disturbed by these rumors and there is absolutely no truth to these absurd claims of infidelity and we vehemently deny them. Due to the nature of the allegations and the attempt to defame the character of the Queen and embarrass well respected friends of our Palace, we have immediately employed legal counsel to investigate their origin to take necessary action against the perpetrators.

Weeks ago, there were rumours spreading 
across the media that the new wife of the 
Ooni of Ife, Olori Wuraola, was already 
married to a Lebanese billionaire.

According to FaithIrabor.com, the new Olori 
had been previously married to two notable men which included the former governor of 



Jigawa state, Saminu Turaki and was still legally married to a Lebanese man name Eli Khoury. However the marriage between Olori Wuraola, whose real name is said to be Itohan Sonia Obanor, and Khoury reportedly 
crashed last year although it is yet to be legally dissolved.

Yesterday, a Facebook user named Lola Sotola confirmed the rumours that the new Olori was indeed still married to her alleged Lebanese husband. He shared photos of Wuraola and the man, Eli Khoury on his Facebook page and wrote: Is anything wrong

for Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi marrying 
another man’s wife?

Well, according to some reports, it isn’t strange or uncommon for the Ooni to marry 
a woman who is already married to another man as long as she was chosen by the Oracle. In addition, Ooni Adewusi’s sisters recently disclosed during an interview that 
the new Olori had been revealed to him by 
an Oracle. “Kabiyesi didnt meet her a long time, it was the oracle who revealed her to Kabiyesi. They never met before” they 

stated.

So far, Nigerians have shared mixed reactions to the news. While a few had nasty things to say, the majority seem to support the Ooni’s new bride and believe she will make a wonderful queen regardless of her past.

Here’s what reportedly led to the end of Ooni of Ife’s 17 months old marriage

Lailasblog yesterday posted a report about the marriage crash of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II and his Queen Wuraola-Zynab Ogunwusi.

The Ooni married Olori Wuraola shortly after meeting her last year. According to sources close to the estranged couple, after he ascended the throne, a wife was needed asap and he was introduced to Wuraola who at the time was with a Lebanese business man. But immediately the Ooni indicated interest to marry her, she quickly dumped the Lebanese man and went with the new Ooni.

“She was with this guy in February 2016, infact she had their photo on her Whatsapp DP and just the following month, in March, she was married to the Ooni. We were all surprised” a source close to the former Olori told LIB exclusively

“The funny thing is; the Ooni was advised not to marry her. Former president Obasanjo himself, who regards the Ooni highly, advised him to marry someone else but the Ooni turned a deaf ear to his plea. She had been married before to a former governor and a Lebanese man and so many of his inner circle friends wanted another woman for him but he was adamant” the source continued.

We gathered that the Olori still ran to the same Obasanjo for help and advise when the Ooni threatened to marry another wife. Obasanjo didn’t do much according to what we gathered.

According to another source, Olori Wuraola and the Ooni didn’t court for long and didn’t really know themselves that well before getting married. And she went into the marriage with high expectations from the new Ooni but when those expectations were not met, she allegedly started to act up.

“They have been having issues for many months now. But the Ooni finally knew his marriage to Wuraola was nearing its end after they returned from London in March. While there, he suspected the Olori was not 100% loyal to him after he saw some text messages on her phone. I wish I could go into details of what he saw. Before then, she had done so many things, including traveling abroad to be by herself, and many other things that the Ooni was bitter about” the source continued.

According to what we gathered, after the Olori staged the walk against domestic violence in Lagos in July, the Ooni told a few friends that his marriage to the Olori was over but it wasn’t until about two weeks ago that he informed her family that he no longer wanted the marraige and asked the Olori to leave.

LIB asked the source how they could have been having marital issues as far back as March 2017 when the Ooni sent out a loving birthday shout out to the Olori in April. The source laughed and said

“Everyone who knows the Ooni knows he would never write that kind of message publicly. We know him. He himself was surprised to see the message online on her birthday but didn’t react not to embarrass her. The Olori wrote the message herself and posted it on his IG page. I can assure you that message was not from the Ooni”

The message read

“Happy birthday to my beautiful wife, my queen. I pray on this day you continue to increase in strength, grace and wisdom. I love you very much”

When we asked the source if they thought the marriage could be save, he said no!

Budding Nollywood actor Lege Miami has fired back at Mercy Aigbe’s estranged husband, Lanre Gentry.

In a recent chat with Saturday Beats, he provided details of what he claimed transpired between them at the police station this week.

When he first accused me of sleeping with his wife on set, I called Mercy Aigbe some days later to report him but she pleaded with me and asked me to keep my calm. He sent the message to me last week Sunday asking me to leave his wife alone again or he would ruin my life. He used a fake account to threaten me to leave his wife alone or else I would die.

I went to report the case at Lagos State Police Command, GRA, Ikeja. When I honoured their invitation at SCID on Tuesday, Lanre’s story began to vary and after showing them evidence, the policemen told me to apologise to him but I refused because I was not wrong. They eventually asked me to write a statement and as I was writing what exactly happened, they wanted to teleguide my writing but I did not listen to them. That is what happened.
As I speak, different unknown people have called me asking me to remove the Instagram post and also go and apologise but I have refused to do so because I have not offended him. Mercy Aigbe is just my colleague and we do not have an amorous relationship. I have never even called her at midnight as her husband claimed,” he said.

He also took to the social media last night to say:

“In regards to the DM I received from the official handle of Mr Lanre Gentry on Instagram last night claiming we had an agreement to remove the video I posted. There was never any agreement either to remove or to leave the video I posted, so I believe there is no point for anybody pressurizing me to remove the video especially at this premature age of the investigation.”
