One Of The 21,780 Teachers Who Failed The Kaduna State Competency Test Reacted

This Facebook post is currently going viral, and it is said to be from one of the 21,780 teachers who failed the primary four test set for them in Kaduna State.
Incase you missed it: Kaduna State Government is now scouting for  25,000 new teachers, after 21,780 out of 33,000 teachers failed the Primary Four test administered to test their competence by the Kaduna State government.
Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State, who spoke on restoring the dignity and quality to education in the state, unveiled the planned recruitment when he received a World Bank’s delegation in Kaduna on Monday.
“We tested our 33,000 primary school teachers, we gave them primary four examination and required they must get at least 75 per cent but I am sad to announce that 66 per cent of them failed to get the requirements. “The hiring of teachers in the past was politicized and we intend to change that by bringing in young and qualified primary school teachers to restore the dignity of education in the state,” the Governor said.
He stressed that teachers would be redeployed across the state to balance the issue of teacher-pupil ratio. “We have a challenge with the teacher-pupil ratio in the urban schools; there is concentration of teachers that are not needed. ‘’In some local government areas, it’s a teacher pupil ratio of 1-9 while in some places it’s 1-100,” he said.
The governor said that in a bid to improve the education sector, the school Directors decided to enroll their children in public schools starting from this academic session.

Nigerian Man Cries Out After He Found Drugs Inside The Tubers Of Yams He Was Given To Deliver Abroad (Photos)

A man was shocked after he discovered hard drugs inside tubers of yam he was given to deliver to someone abroad.
In a footage posted on Facebook, the man from Edo state, revealed that the drugs were inserted in the tubers of yam and covered with sand.
He said they were given to him to deliver to someone who needed them badly abroad. But he decided to wash the sand off the tubers not knowing what was inside.
He said: “When I saw sand on it I said we cannot carry sand to abroad that we must wash out the sand. As we were washing the sand we now detect water was coming out from up, meaning there’s hole inside. As we washed carefully we now see some needle. As we pulled everything, there was drug inside.”
“We thank God for the intelligence God has given to us for us to discover this kind of thing. This is something that could put you in jail. Men are wicked, we have to be careful,” he said, warning people to always check whatever they are given to deliver to someone while traveling abroad.

People Now Call Me Iya Alamala And Am Proud Of It–Iyabo Ojo

Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, recently ventured into the hospitality business and became a food vendor with her amala joint which she called Abula Spot.
But even as she opened the joint, not just a few wondered where and how she was able to get the money which she used in acquiring the two-storey building that houses her joint.

Reacting to the speculations, the actress claimed that she had to sell some of her landed property and also her jewellery in order to achieve her dream.
“I did not collect a loan to open my business, I saved. I had been planning to open this place for a very long time, so I had been saving. When I wanted to get my new office building, I sold s
ome of my property. I sold almost all my gold if
not everything. During that time, I sold one
batch and when I needed more money, I sold the rest. I told myself to forget about gold for now because I know that I can make the money back later. With the support of good people as well, I was able to get my office building. The first lady of Kwara State who came to inaugurate the building supported me. Some of my godparents also supported me because I told them that I wanted to sell amala,” she said.
Apparently, her new found love would eat much of her time if she wants the business to survive
but during the course of chatting with Saturday
Beats, the actress said that she has everything figured out.
She further said that selling amala can never make her quit acting. “I can never quit my career for anything. I am a very organised person. When you are organised, you plan ahead. My life is planned and that has helped me a lot. I knew I was going to do this food business but I waited till the right time. For about a month or two, I am not going to be filming so that I can look after my business. I have a structured plan for

my business. It is insured, I have an auditor who comes to look at the records. Everything is well planned,” she said.
Ojo who jokingly said that people now refer to her as ‘Iya alamala’ (amala seller) said that she is not ashamed to sell food some people perceive to be local.
“I am a local chic. I made a name for myself by acting in my local dialect which is the Yoruba

language and in our culture, amala is the in-
thing. I am proud to be selling amala because that is my culture. A Chinese man cannot be ashamed of owning a Chinese restaurant. What I did was that I brought something perceived to be local to the Island and I made it look posh. When something is local, it does not mean that it is dirty. People really long to eat amala and I am not ashamed to be selling it.
“I opened the Abula Spot because I noticed that on the Island, they do not really have anywhere you could go to get the local dish unlike the way

we do on the mainland. When I moved to the Island, I decided that I was going to open my restaurant here. I had been planning to open this business for a long while but I did not have the time to monitor it at the time. When I saw that I had the time to go into the business, I went for it. I had two shops on the mainland so I decided to close one down,” the actress said.
